Israeli attacks on the besieged Gaza Strip continue relentlessly, with at least 81 more people reportedly killed in the latest assaults. This brings the total death toll in Gaza since the beginning of the war to over 61,700.
The information was reported by Al Jazeera on Wednesday, May 14.
According to the report, Israeli forces launched air raids in northern Gaza starting early Tuesday morning, killing at least 45 people, as confirmed by local medical authorities. By midnight, the death toll had risen to 51 within 24 hours.
In southern Gaza, Israeli airstrikes targeted both the European Hospital and Nasser Hospital, resulting in the deaths of at least 30 individuals, including a journalist who was at the hospital for treatment.
According to the Gaza Health Ministry, a total of 52,908 Palestinians have been killed and at least 119,721 injured due to Israeli aggression. However, Gaza’s Government Media Office reports the actual death toll has exceeded 61,700, with many still trapped under the rubble.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump is currently on a tour of the Middle East and has said he is working to end the Gaza war. However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made it clear that the war will not stop under any circumstances
