Iran Warns of ‘Decisive Response’ as US Tensions Escalate

Iran has warned that it will deliver a “decisive response” to any further US or Israeli military action, as tensions continue to rise across the Middle East amid an ongoing conflict involving Tehran, Washington and regional allies.

Iranian officials said any attack on the country’s sovereignty or critical infrastructure would trigger retaliation, while Tehran continued diplomatic outreach to regional governments to warn against involvement in possible US operations.

The warning came as US President Donald Trump indicated a pause in potential further strikes while diplomatic efforts continued, with discussions reportedly focused on reaching a broader agreement involving regional security and the reopening of strategic shipping routes.

A major focus of the crisis remains the Strait of Hormuz, a key global energy corridor. Any disruption to shipping through the area could affect oil markets, international trade and energy prices worldwide.

Iran has maintained that it does not seek surrender under military pressure and has warned neighbouring countries against supporting attacks on its territory. Regional governments have been attempting to balance security concerns with fears that further escalation could spread across the Gulf.

The United States has continued to push for limits on Iran’s military capabilities and regional activities, while Tehran insists that any negotiations must respect its sovereignty and security interests.

Analysts say the situation remains highly unpredictable, with diplomatic negotiations, military positioning and energy market risks all influencing the next stage of the crisis
