Former Fremantle list manager Mark Micallef has detailed the club’s carefully planned 2019 trade and draft strategy that helped set the platform for the Dockers’ current premiership push.
That year the Dockers secured a strong haul of young talent, most notably selecting Hayden Young with pick 7 and Caleb Serong with pick 8. The side also brought in other prospects and managed key trades, including dealing with the departures of players such as Brad Hill and Ed Langdon to accumulate valuable draft capital.
