Virginia Giuffre, the well-known survivor who accused billionaire Jeffrey Epstein of abuse and alleged she was trafficked to Prince Andrew, has been farewelled in a private ceremony in Perth.

Police confirmed that Ms Giuffre passed away in April on her farm in Neergabby, about 80km north of Perth. Her death was not considered suspicious.

She was reportedly cremated at Pinnaroo Valley Memorial Park in Padbury in recent days. According to The West Australian, a private funeral service was held without public notice.

The 41-year-old’s death garnered global attention, as many of Epstein’s victims have yet to see full justice following his death in custody in 2019.

Ms Giuffre had long accused Prince Andrew of sexually assaulting her when she was a teenager. She filed a civil lawsuit, which was settled out of court in 2022. The settlement amount remains confidential, and Prince Andrew has consistently denied the allegations. He has never been charged.

In another legal case in New York against Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell, Ms Giuffre claimed she was trafficked and held as a “sex slave” for influential men. She said she was recruited by Maxwell at age 16 or 17 while working at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach. Mr Trump has not been accused of any wrongdoing in her case.

At the time of her death, Ms Giuffre was facing a charge for allegedly breaching a family violence restraining order involving her estranged husband, Robert Giuffre. She had also recently survived a serious bus accident, sharing an image of her bruised face on social media with the caption: “four days to live.”

Virginia Giuffre moved to Perth from Cairns with her husband in 2022. She is survived by her three children.
