In response, Pakistan claimed to have shot down multiple Indian fighter jets and launched counter-strikes, including the destruction of an Indian brigade headquarters . The suspension of key agreements, such as the Indus Waters Treaty and the Shimla Agreement, along with the closure of diplomatic channels, has heightened the risk of a broader conflict .
