A worker at Sydney Airport has been hospitalised after falling approximately five metres from an aerobridge at the T3 Domestic Terminal on Saturday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the scene around 12:30pm following reports of the incident. The employee, a woman believed to be in her 40s, was treated at the site by first responders before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital with head injuries.

NSW Ambulance dispatched several crews, including a specialist medical unit, to provide urgent care at the airport.

Sydney Airport released a statement confirming that SafeWork NSW has been notified and is investigating the incident.

“Our priority is the wellbeing of the staff member, and we are fully cooperating with SafeWork NSW in their investigation,” the spokesperson said.
