US President Donald Trump has demanded that Tehran agree to a ceasefire as tensions between the United States and Iran continue to escalate, after Iran reportedly targeted two oil tankers moving through the Strait of Hormuz under US military protection.
The reported tanker attacks have intensified fears that the conflict could disrupt one of the world’s most important energy shipping routes.
