Qantas Launches Major International Fare Sale With Cheap Flights to Las Vegas and Tokyo

Australian airline Qantas has launched a major international airfare sale, cutting prices across hundreds of destinations as the carrier aims to attract travellers planning overseas holidays.

The limited-time promotion includes discounted economy fares to popular destinations across Asia, North America, South America and the Pacific. Some highlighted deals include discounted return flights to destinations such as Tokyo, Singapore, Vancouver and Santiago, while Qantas has also included its new direct Sydney–Las Vegas route in the sale for the first time.

The new non-stop Sydney to Las Vegas service is a major addition to Qantas’ international network, allowing Australian travellers to avoid traditional US stopovers and reduce overall journey times. The seasonal route is scheduled to operate several times a week during the peak travel period.

Qantas said the sale is designed to give customers more opportunities to explore international destinations while expanding awareness of new routes. The airline has continued to promote its international network recovery and investment in long-haul flying.

The fare reductions come as airlines compete for international travellers, with increased capacity and stronger competition putting pressure on carriers to offer more attractive pricing. Travel demand has remained strong, with many Australians prioritising overseas holidays despite broader cost-of-living pressures.

Industry analysts say discounted fares could help stimulate demand during periods when airlines are looking to maximise aircraft utilisation, while also strengthening Qantas’ position on key international routes.

The promotion highlights the changing landscape of global aviation, where airlines are balancing fuel costs, capacity growth and customer demand while competing for passengers in a highly competitive travel market.
