Albanese Urges Unity After Bitter Election Campaign

Following a hard-fought and divisive campaign, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has called on Australians to come together.

“With the people’s decision now clear, it’s time to focus on what unites us,” he said. “Regardless of who you voted for, where you live, how you worship, or who you love—whether your roots go back 65,000 years or you’ve chosen Australia as your new home—we are all Australians.”

He encouraged the nation to move forward together: “Let’s strengthen our unity through fairness, equality, and mutual respect.”
