‘Operation Sindoor’ Not Over, Just Paused: Modi Warns Pakistan

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has issued a stern warning to Pakistan, declaring that “Operation Sindoor” is not over—it has only been temporarily suspended. In a televised address to the nation on Monday, Modi stated that if Pakistan continues with its “deceptive behavior,” India will resume retaliatory actions.

The speech came in the wake of India’s military operation across the border in response to the deadly terrorist attack in Kashmir’s Pahalgam region.

“India will no longer differentiate between those who sponsor terrorism and those who execute it,” Modi said firmly.

He emphasized that the operation was paused only after reviewing Pakistan’s commitments and actions, adding, “Let there be no illusion—India is prepared to strike again if provoked.”

Modi highlighted that India’s drone and missile strikes during the operation were “beyond Pakistan’s imagination” and not only destroyed terrorist bases but also “shattered their morale.”

Calling ‘Operation Sindoor’ a turning point, the Prime Minister said, “This is not just a mission—it marks a strategic shift in India’s counterterrorism doctrine. From now on, India will identify and strike terror bases proactively.”

Addressing Pakistan’s so-called “nuclear blackmail,” Modi declared that India is not afraid of such threats and will destroy terrorist havens hiding behind them.

Following four days of intense cross-border skirmishes, a ceasefire was brokered on Saturday through the mediation of U.S. President Donald Trump. Modi’s speech, delivered just two days later, is being seen as a clear signal of India’s new assertive stance in regional geopolitics.
