Police have discovered human remains and made an arrest during the investigation into the disappearance of Sunbury man Joshua Bishop.

Police have located human remains and arrested a 27-year-old man as part of their investigation into the disappearance of Melbourne man Joshua Bishop.

Earlier this month, the public was asked to assist in the search for Mr. Bishop, who is from Sunbury.

Detectives from the Missing Persons Squad found the remains after executing a search warrant at a residence in Westmeadows on Saturday. The remains have not yet been formally identified.

The 27-year-old man was arrested by police this afternoon and is set to be interviewed regarding the discovery of the remains.
