The United States has expressed support for Nepal following devastating flash floods that caused widespread destruction across several regions, with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio assuring that Washington is prepared to provide humanitarian assistance if needed.

Rubio conveyed his solidarity with the people of Nepal through a message shared on social media, expressing sympathy for victims affected by the deadly floods and their families.
“Following the devastating floods, we stand in solidarity with the people of Nepal, and our prayers are with the Nepali people,” Rubio said.
He added that the US Department of State remains ready to work with the Government of Nepal and provide necessary humanitarian support during the ongoing crisis.

The US statement comes as Nepal continues emergency rescue and relief operations following severe flooding that damaged communities, infrastructure and public facilities in multiple districts.
