At least 105 Indian nationals and 37 non-resident Indians (NRIs) are among 384 travellers reported missing after a devastating flash flood struck Nepal’s Bhote Koshi River in Rasuwa district, according to preliminary information from the Nepal Tourism Board.

The Tourism Board said the initial list includes 291 foreign visitors and 93 Nepali travellers whose current locations and safety conditions are still being verified.
Officials stressed that the figures are preliminary and may change as authorities continue checking records with travel agencies, trekking operators, guides, local officials and security agencies.
Indian nationals among missing travellers
According to the Nepal Tourism Board, 105 Indian citizens have been identified among the missing travellers so far.
The list includes 59 Indian nationals travelling through Samrat Tours & Travels and 46 through Leaf Holiday.
Another 37 non-resident Indians have been reported through Himalayan Glacier and are being tracked separately.

Officials said the number of Indian nationals could increase as more travel records are reviewed and additional information becomes available.
Foreign tourists also affected
Several other foreign nationals are also included in the missing traveller list.
Fishtail Tours & Travels reported 20 foreign travellers, including three Americans and 17 Malaysian citizens.
Himalayan Glacier reported 37 travellers, while Alpine Eco Trek listed 16 foreign visitors, including 12 from the United Kingdom and four from South Africa.
Authorities are still working to confirm the nationalities of several other travellers.
Travel agencies assisting verification
The Tourism Board said the missing traveller information was collected from tourism companies and travel agencies operating in Nepal.
Natural Disasters
Officials are coordinating with trekking companies, tour operators, local authorities and security agencies to determine whether those listed are safe or still missing.
Preliminary records show that 92 travellers were connected with Trekkers Society, 71 with Samrat Tours & Travels, 55 with Leaf Holiday, 52 with Himalayan Glacier and 31 with Kailash Journey.
Other agencies have also reported travellers who may have been affected by the disaster.
Rescue and verification efforts continue
The flash flood struck the Bhote Koshi River area at around 8:30am on Wednesday, causing severe destruction in parts of Rasuwa and surrounding regions.
The disaster damaged roads, settlements and infrastructure while disrupting travel routes used by tourists and trekking groups.
The Nepal Tourism Board, Tourist Police and tourism organisations are continuing efforts to verify the status of missing travellers and provide updates to families and authorities.
