As tensions between India and Pakistan intensify, Pakistan’s military on Saturday (May 10) claimed to have successfully launched a cyberattack targeting India’s strategic military infrastructure. The report was published by Geo TV.
According to the Pakistani military, its cyber operatives managed to jam multiple Indian military satellites, including those used for navigation and secure communication. The statement said the cyber offensive had significantly impaired India’s military coordination capabilities.
The alleged attack extended beyond satellites. Pakistani forces claim to have targeted Indian government email servers and strategic digital portals, many of which are reportedly still under cyber assault.
As of now, the Indian government has not issued any official response to the cyberattack claims.
In a separate development, Pakistan also claimed to have carried out a major strike on India’s Bhathinda Airbase in Punjab. Geo TV reported that the base was “destroyed,” although it remains unclear whether the Fatah-2 missile was used in the strike.
The latest developments mark a dangerous escalation in hostilities, which have already involved artillery shelling, drone strikes, missile attacks, and now cyber warfare. The international community continues to call for restraint and de-escalation amid growing fears of a broader conflict.
