North Korea has strongly condemned Israel’s recent military strikes on Iran, accusing it of provoking a wider conflict in the Middle East. A spokesperson from the North Korean foreign ministry described the strikes as an “unpardonable crime against humanity,” especially due to the civilian casualties involved.

According to the statement, which was released by state-run news agency KCNA, Israel’s actions represent “state-sponsored terrorism” and significantly increase the risk of a full-scale war in the region. The spokesperson further warned that the situation could escalate into a catastrophic conflict if Western powers, particularly the United States and European nations, continue to support Israel.

The condemnation comes after Israel launched strikes on Friday that targeted Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, igniting days of ongoing missile exchanges between the two nations. Iran has reported at least 224 deaths, including military officials, scientists, and civilians. Israel has reported 24 deaths and hundreds of injuries on its side, with civilian casualties also among the dead.

North Korea’s criticism also extended to U.S. President Donald Trump, who recently hinted at possible U.S. involvement in the conflict, stating his patience with Tehran had “run out,” though he has not yet confirmed any direct military action.

Pyongyang warned Washington and its allies to avoid getting involved, calling Israel a “cancer-like entity” that threatens peace in the Middle East and undermines global stability. The statement concluded by accusing Western powers of inflaming tensions and disregarding Iran’s right to self-defense.
